If 6 stars could be awarded Lo Scoiattolo in Gressoney -La- Trinite easily deserves all 6 . Located in a quiet village , this my 2nd visit proves beyond doubt that Laura Thedy the proprietor effectively leads a well trained , happy, loyal & customer focussed team across all disciplines, yet in a quiet most efficient manner. It really is a privilege and pleasure, the phrase “ like staying with good friends or relatives” fits this category perfectly. The rooms spotless, spacious, easy to operate heating controls, windows that can be opened, plenty of bathroom space fittings & fixtures of high quality and plenty of effective hot water . The dining for breakfast and dinner is an exceptional experience, plenty of choice, the chef & team to be congratulated. The relaxing lounge, spa area , sauna and steam room the icing on an already perfect cake. I cannot fault nor suggest ANY improvements. Delivers way above its star rating .

Cleanliness was faultless. Welcome was warm. Food was varied and very good one of the best venison meals that I’ve ever had. Sauna/spa area modern and relaxing. Well placed for ski bus as well as the hotel shuttle to the nearest lift. Staff were hugely accommodating and cheerful.

Everything about the hotel was perfect really with a charming family feel.Impeccable service great food and particularly a fantastic breakfast .The shuttle to the lift was efficient and worked really well.Everyone always went the extra mile and the hotel clearly looks up in terms of any touch to improve standards.This is our second visit and we will be back.Fantastic .Thank you

I have just returned from a fabulous week skiing. We travelled as a group of 18 from the UK and this beautiful, traditional and friendly hotel catered for all our needs. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating, whether at reception, room service or in the beautiful restaurant. The food was fabulous. Good quality produce and a huge variety and choice at both breakfast and dinner. In the past as a large group other hotels have catered for us on small tables, however Hotel Lo Scoiattolo, organised an 18 seat table which was so much better. It was my husband's birthday and the chef made the most wonderful cake which was delicious. As it was a special birthday I asked if we could put up some decorations and everything was put in place with no bother at all. The public areas are beautifully decorated with some really lovely and traditional touches. We had a larger room which was very spacious and had a good amount of storage, it was also very clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable and we had an amazing view a long the valley. The staff serviced the rooms daily and even prepared the room in the evening. A lovely touch to deliver a weather update and some sweets every day. I used the spa which was great after a hard days skiing and the sauna was nice and toasty. I really felt that the owner and staff had a huge sense of pride in the hotel which I believe had been owned by the same family for a number of generations. We met a lovely couple who had been to the hotel for the past 13 Years and I feel this won't be our only visit either. Don't be put off that it's a little distance to the first lift as the hotel taxi service was spot on and only took 5 mins. Everything was 5 star service! Thank You, for ordering the snow too!! x

Just spent a week in the hotel with my wife and I can honestly say it’s my all time favourite ski hotel. Beautiful authentic Italian food in their gorgeous lodge style restaurant. Friendly service. If you’re looking for a cosy, traditional ski hotel, this is the one for you. Dave

The family THEDY who own and run this hotel are to be congratulated on delivering an outstanding customer experience with their well trained, motivated and happy team. Hotel Scoiattolo provides a warm, genuine hospitality on every level. From arrival, it’s clear that behind the scenes nothing is left to chance, yet it’s delivered with passion, quiet calmness and a real “ family” atmosphere- because this family is 100% genuine . The dining, from breakfast to dinner is varied, well presented, healthy options , and the taste is exceptional, I do believe easily 4star standard and above. The reception area, bar, dining room areas immediately give the senses of comfort, cosy , warm and like staying in a friends family home. My favourite the lounge area, with real fire, the most comfortable easy chairs and little old historical items to provide the atmosphere and authentic family touch. Downstairs a snug bar / children’s play area, wellness and spa ( very good too ), and well lit dry ski and boot storage, in fact probably one of the best I’ve used. Also the free hotel shuttle minibus service to and from the nearby chairlift which is extremely useful. The rooms in a main hotel building and adjoining building. My room 110 on 1st floor with a view up to the mountains, most comfortable, easy control heating for room and bathroom, with small table to work from, comfy easy chair, fridge ( and mini bar to pay for if required) , and exceptional hot drink area with kettle , mugs, tea and coffee provided too. The bathroom very well equipped with plenty of hot water too. The cleaning team to be congratulated, again spotless everywhere . I’m trying to think of anything they have missed or any improvements, but I honestly can’t think of 1 thing! Thank you to THEDY family & your team . I’ve just booked to return again.
